The Department of Molecular Biosciences, Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) conducts experimental basic research in molecular cell biology, intergrative biology and infection and immune biology. The research environment is characterized by a modern and advanced methodology and has a strong international profile. MBW is one of the larger departments of the Faculty of Science at Stockholm University with more than 30 research groups and about 180 employees, of whom about 60 are doctoral students. Project description
The position will be associated with the project “epithelial cell differentiation in Drosophila".

Main responsibilities
The position involves generation of complex mutant genotypes in the trachea and wing disks, quantitative analysis of the tracheal cells by  molecular methods and microscopy.

Qualification requirements
Researchers are appointed primarily for purposes of research and must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.

Assessment criteria
In the appointment process, special attention will be given to documented research skills, in particular in the generation and analysis of Drosophila mutants and the cellular differentiation of tracheal cells.

Terms of employment
This is a part-time (50 %), time-limited position of 12 months. Start date 2023-06-01 or as per agreement.
