The Department of of Sociology at Stockholm University is one of the biggest departments at the Faculty of Social Science with about 85 employees, 600 annual students and contains the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA)

Project description
The position will be associated with SUDA’s research on the mortality of migrants and their children in Sweden,

Main responsibilities
The position involves quantitative social science research on mortality using register data.

Qualification requirements
Researchers are appointed primarily for purposes of research and must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.

Assessment criteria
In the appointment process, particular attention will be given to research skills and the applicant’s previous publications records inrelation to the main research themes associated with this project. The applicant needs to demonstrate solid experience with quantitative research and specific experience with longitudinal data (preferably register data experience).

Terms of employment
The position involves part-time employment at 100 % for 8 months. No possibility of extension. Start date 2024-02-01.
