Job description
We are looking for one highly qualified and highly motivated researcher in computational materials physics, to work with Dr. Alexander Edström (Department of Applied Physics) and Dr. Pawel Herman (Department of Computer Science) at KTH, Stockholm. The position is part of a collaboration combining the expertise of the two groups (Edström and Herman) with financing from WISE and WASP . You will use advanced computational methods, based on brain inspired, self-learning, artificial neural networks, to study atomistic spin models. This will provide an important comparative benchmark of the said methods on physically relevant problems, while also providing insights into exotic magnetic phases, e.g. topological magnetism, for future materials design.

Qualifications
Requirements
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree.

- The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice
- The ability to inform about research and development work
- Experience of developing and leading activities and staff
- Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

- Research expertise in solid state physics, particularly in magnetism and magnetic materials
- Experience in computational physics
- Experience of computational methods based on machine learning, AI and/or artificial neural networks

About the employment
