The activities at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) include education and research in systems, leadership and management in health care, lifelong learning for healthcare professionals, ethics and policy issues related to health care and research, health care information systems, social innovation and suicide prevention. We run three master's programmes and several executive and professional education courses. We collaborate with Region Stockholm, various authorities and companies, as well as with patient organizations.

Your mission

You will be working in our innovation action cybersecurity project SECANT (SECurity And privacy protectioN in Internet of Things devices). Your mission will focus on the research activities around cybersecurity and privacy within Healthcare, as well as to the scientific development and validation of cybersecurity tools for

  • collaborative threat intelligence collection, analysis and sharing;
  • innovative risk analysis specifically designed for interconnected nodes of a healthcare ecosystem;
  • cutting-edge trust and accountability mechanisms for data protection
  • security awareness training for more informed security choices.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for the research tasks related to the development and implementation of research-oriented cybersecurity software components. Your responsibilities will extend from scientific system design and architecture to high-level programming, performance testing, and systems integration.


    Eligibility requirements

    To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having equivalent scientific expertise, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation.


    Assessment criteria

    It is mandatory that the applicant meets the following requirements:

    • Ph.D. in computer engineering, computer science, health informatics.
    • Advanced knowledge of front-end languages including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, C++, and JQuery.
    • Back-end languages including Java, Python, Rails, Ruby, .NET, and PHP.
    • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and docker environment.
    • English on a professional level.

    It is particularly meritorious that the applicant has shown

    • Knowledge of database systems and SQL and MongoDB
    • Good communication skills.
    • Previous proven experience in EU H2020 projects.

    It is meritorious that the applicant has shown

    • Previous experience as research engineer.
    • High-level project management skills.
