Research nurse
Are you interested in working with childhood cancer research, with the support of competent and friendly colleagues in an international environment? Are you looking for an employer that invests in sustainable employeeship and offers safe, favourable working conditions? We welcome you to apply for a research nurse position at Uppsala University.

The Department of Women’s and Children's Health conducts research, postgraduate training and teaching in reproductive health, gynecology, obstetrics, international women's and maternal health care, perinatal medicine, paediatrics, global health, women's medicine, and clinical psychology. The operation is integrated with the women's clinic and the children's hospital at Uppsala University Hospital. Within the research group Pediatric Oncological and Neurological Research, we work to improve the quality of life for children and adolescents with childhood cancer and pediatric neurological diseases, and their families, by increasing the understanding of clinical, biological and psychosocial aspects of these diseases.

More information about the research group is available at https://www.uu.se/en/department/womens-and-childrens-health/research/paediatrics-unit/pediatric-oncological-and-neurological-research.

Duties
You will have an important role in an ongoing research study investigating how it goes for people who have been treated for leukemia as children/adolescents. This involves a wide range of tasks such as:
- recruitment/screening of patients, responsible for study visits according to existing study protocols
- study-related documentation and data entry
- contact with staff in the region, other pediatric oncology units, as well as researchers locally, nationally and internationally.

As a research nurse (40%) within the study team, you will be part of our committed and enthusiastic research team and will work together with researchers and clinicians. You will also have contact with other active research coordinators or research nurses at Uppsala University Children's Hospital, and may also be asked to help in other ongoing studies as needed.

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced pediatric nurse/specialist nurse who wants to be challenged and to develop within the framework of their daily work. You are responsible, flexible and thorough, and have a great interest in research related to both pediatric oncology and pediatric neurology. You have good collaboration skills and can work independently. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite and we see that you have good computer skills and can master the Microsoft Office programs, Cosmic and patient medical journals.

Additional qualifications
We see it as meritorious if you have previous experience from clinical studies and have knowledge of relevant regulations, e.g. ICH-GCP guidelines and GDPR, but above all we attach great importance to your personal suitability.
