The division of EISLAB (Embedded Intelligent Systems LAB) targets research and innovation within the realm of the research subjects Cyber-Physical Systems, Electronic Systems and Machine Learning. We are a strong research and innovation partner in various research areas, including Electronics design and production, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), IoT and SoS automation, Sensorsystems, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Digital Transformation, and Data Science.

Subject description
Machine learning focuses on computational methods by which computer systems uses data to improve their own performance, understanding, and to make accurate predictions and has a close connection to applications.

Description of Work
Several of our outcomes from Machine Learning projects and Arrowhead tools are open source and available; however could still better reach the possible end-users. For that, we envisage a team of persons focusing on identifying the needs on the user side and the realization of making our methods available on websites and as web-service adds value to the research. Disseminating and deploying the machine learning developments onto the web extends outreach and visibility to the end-users.

We search for at least two research engineers with different focus:
- Study the needs of various stakeholders from industry and academia to identify the most valuable research outcomes to disseminate and thereby prioritizing the research projects to be made available.

 - Data Analysis, design and implementation of machine learning and Innovative Industry solutions and usable web interfaces for research projects within the EISLAB division and together with partners from other departments and the Luleå Region.

We are searching for candidates fulfilling at least two of the following criteria

 - Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline

 - Programming skills in python, matlab, R, html, css, web stack or possibility of quick adaptation

 - Knowledge of machine learning and data exploration methods and web development

 - Preferably, experience in practical research and engineering projects including machine learning and web development

 - Experience in projects related to business analysis and the needs perspective of companies

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates, capable of conducting state-of-the-art research and web development both independently and as part of a team. A good command of English is required, both in writing and in speech. Participation in international research projects is meriting.

Fixed fulltime for 1 year with possible extension. Appointment as soon as possible. Place of employment is Luleå.
