Job description

The recruited candidate will contribute to the development of a model that enables reduced vibrations through a truck driveline and a solution at lower speeds, which includes:

  • Model the friction between lamella and pressure plates and its dependency on the crankshaft speed, clutch pressure including stick-slip
  • Model of the lamella springs for a wide frequency range and motion amplitude range, including taking into account internal resonances and non-linear effects
  • Model for the effect of clearance and tolerances in couplings

An existing implementation of the model is available but must be further developed for further deliverables in the project.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Good programming skills are required (mainly Python and Matlab).
