Job description

The research activity of the Research Engineer will mainly focus on analyzing solitaire gene expression regulated in mammalian tissues. This work will involve the collection of data using the latest technology, including with the Spatial Transcriptomics method. Within the framework of this project, we will engage researchers across Europe to take advantage of this unique project.

For this purpose, we are looking for a research engineer with previous experience in “in situ techniques” to study nucleic acids in tissues, map data analysis and knowledge within R/Python.

The research engineer will be located at KTH, Division of Genetic Engineering, SciLifeLab (Science for Life Laboratory), Solna/Stockholm.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Experience with molecular analysis of nucleic acids in situ and experience in programming (python, R)

Preferred qualifications

Experience with the Spatial Transcriptomics method and Spatial Transcriptomics data analysis is meritorious.
