Description of InfraVis
InfraVis is a national research infrastructure funded by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) in support of scientific advancement through the application of state-of-the-art data analysis and visualization techniques. The goals of InfraVis are to significantly improve data analysis support, address new challenges involving large and complex data and create competitive advantages for Swedish researchers. The infrastructure consists of visualization experts working with various software solutions and access to high-end visualization laboratories. To build an infrastructure with national coverage, we have pooled together nine visualization environments in Sweden interconnected in a nodal structure. The nodes will be hosted in proximity to research environments in visualization, which will enable direct access to the research front as well as to state-of-art facilities. Working together in a Gothenburg node, University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University share both resources and expertise. More information about InfraVis: https://infravis.se/
