Duties:

In communication with PI of projects, conduct independent experimentation work in the area of plant molecular biology, biochemistry, tissue culture, genome editing and analytics. The position is expected to take the main responsibility as Laboratory manager in the Plant Biotechnology division and have a central role in the facilitation of laboratory functionality in interaction with PIs, technical staff, postdocs and PhD students. Further work tasks are in setting up student laboratory in basic education. It is expected that the position will contain elements of assisting in research communication in the form of publications or poster presentations.


Qualifications:

An MSc in biology related to plant biology is required with a PhD exam as meriting for the position. Documented experience of plant research and solid laboratory experimentation in the direction of plant molecular biology, tissue culture and genome editing is required.  Experience with setting up and conducting student laboratory is required. Special emphasis is placed on the personal characteristics of the applicant. The candidate must be analytical and accurate, and have a good ability to work independently and in collaboration with others within given time frames.
