The Department of Economics is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences with approximately 100 employees from a dozen countries. Each year about 1,000 students participate in undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA) and PhD level courses. The research conducted at the department is mainly focused on labour economics, macroeconomics, political economics and public economics. Researchers at the department are frequently engaged as experts by the government and by the media, and interact with the society at large in a number of ways.

Duties
The position involves assisting researchers as well as conducting own research within the research program "Structural change: consequences and policy responses”, funded by Forte (2021-01559).

Requirements
To qualify for the position you must at least have the equivalent of a Master’s degree in Economics. Experience in analyzing quantitative data – particularly large administrative data – is a requirement. The successful applicant must be highly proficient in spoken and written English. You should be highly motivated and have good ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional qualifications
We particularly welcome applicants with experience of research on the impact of regulations on the labor market or the relationship between education and inequality.
