Research assistant

We are seeking research assistants to help us with field and lab work during the summer of 2024 (June – August).  Multiple positions will be hired, some for short and intermittent periods of field work, and other at least one position for the whole June-August period.  The jobs will include a combination of field work in Lapland, and lab work in Umeå. 


About the position  

We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for summer field and lab work to help with project related to forests and biodiversity and carbon cycling. The work period will be June 1- August 31 for at least one assistant, and shorter periodic work periods for 1 or more of the other assistants. 


Your profile

The applicant should have a strong work ethic and be able to work well in a team setting.  Field work could involve some remote locations, and the possibility of challenging weather conditions.  The job requires communication in English (both spoken and written) is required.
