About the work place

The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was founded in 1994 and has since developed genuine interdisciplinary education and research with focus on strategies for sustainable development. The Institute facilitates many external research and development projects as well as two international master programs.

Work duties

The research assistant will work in the EU research project “1.5 Degrees Lifestyles” with partners based in Germany, Spain, Hungary, Latvia, Finland, and the Netherlands. At the IIIEE, the applicant will join an interdisciplinary and multicultural research group consisting of three senior researchers and one professor. The applicant will, within the frame of the employment, be responsible for administrative/coordinative and technical/analytical tasks.

  • Organizing research workshops with citizens and stakeholders, in cooperation with the research group.
  • Participating in online and on-site meetings with the project partners and communicating with key stakeholders in the project. 
  • Supporting project administration, organizing events, transcribing interviews, compiling research notes, authoring popular science communication (e.g. for website, etc.), and translation between Swedish and English (software assisted).
  • Data collection including structured literature reviews following a search string and coding and/or structured interviews following a protocol.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree and/or experience with research administration.
  • Knowledge of climate change and/or sustainable consumption.
  • Experience with qualitative methods for data collection and data analysis.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in Swedish and English.

Meritorious

  • Demonstrated ability to write academically.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, organise and prioritize the work in an effective way.

Terms

Temporary employment for a maximum of 12 months with a starting date upon agreement.
