Research assistant in clinical neuroscience

We are now seeking a research assistant for an exciting project that uses advanced measurement methods to study the brain's function and structure (for example, with Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRI). You will be part of a dynamic work group led by Kristoffer Månsson at the Center for Psychiatry Research, Department of Clinical Neuroscience. The assignment is an opportunity to earn qualifications for further research within an exciting field at the intersection of psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience.


Your mission

As a research assistant, you will work together with researcher and supporting them in designing a new study, applying for permits to conduct research, support researchers to setup experiments, and carrying out data collection with a brain imaging scanner. Under supervisions, you will independently work with data analysis on previously collected data with functional MRI. As a research assistant, it is your role to support researchers in their projects. 


Your profile

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, ambitious, and curious about research. It is crucial that you have basic skills in psychology and neuroscience. It is advantageous if you have research experience from another research lab that works with MRI. It is also beneficial if you have practical experience conducting investigations with brain imaging (for example, EEG/MEG/MRI/PET). Expertise in statistical software like R and python is a merit, and experiences administrating Linux environments like Ubuntu is also an advantage. We would like you to be able to plan for a longer commitment to the study. Requirements include good knowledge of the English language, fluency in both speech and writing.
