Description of the subject area

The Unit for Immunology and Chronic Disease conducts research in various inflammatory processes with a focus on cellular, immunological, molecular and genetic/genomic factors. Understanding the importance of genetics in the development of inflammatory tissue processes is a major part of our research, but also the stratification of individuals to develop therapeutic strategies that best suit a certain group of patients as well as the interaction between genetic and environmental factors.

Your mission

We are looking for a Principal Researcher who will run an independent research line in inflammation genetics with a focus on the importance of genetics in disease heterogeneity and disease development in patients with systemic autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome and systemic sclerosis.
