The position

The work includes laboratory work in the field of Immunology and molecular biology.


The person we need

We are looking for you who have a PhD in molecular biology or another relevant field. The work requires extensive experience with the following techniques as it will largely be carried out independently:

  • Cloning
  • qPCR
  • ChIP-seq
  • NGS data analysis
  • Cut&Run seq
  • Protein interaction analysis
  • DNAse footprinting
  • Analysis of ATAC seq data


You have good ability to work independently and good initiative. Great importance will also be placed on the ability to collaborate. You work in a structured way and is calm and stable as a person. Good ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.


The workplace

You will work at the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology (MMV) in Mikael Sigvardsson's research group, which consists of researcher with expertise in molecular and cell biology.

You will work at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV) , which is one of the university's largest institutions with activities primarily within the medical faculty. Our goal is to conduct education and research in medicine and biomedicine, with high international quality. At BKV you will find leading research with both cutting edge and breadth within a large spectrum of modern biomedicine.
