Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Within the Lanner laboratory we develop pluripotent stem cell based cellular therapies and explore the mechanisms that control early human embryo development and pluripotency. We have focused on transcriptional characterizations but have recently moved into gene regulation and will now explore epigenetic control of the early embryo. Within this project you will develop and utilize new technologies to perform single cell epigenetic profiling.

Your mission

You will independently adopt methodologies to perform single cell epigenetic profiling of embryos and stem cell-based embryo models. Functionally you will extend on our recent finding that PRC2 is critical for lineage decision in early human development using genome editing and pharmacological treatments.

Your profile

You should be highly motivated and interested in developing and performing epigenetic analysis of early human embryos and stem cell models. You should be able to develop single cell-based technologies to profile human embryos and stem cell models. It is important that you are independent, take initiatives and have a very good ability to co-operate. Furthermore, it is important that you are performance-oriented. We value personal qualities in the selection of candidates.

Eligibility requirements

You should be able and have proven track-record of developing epigenetic methodologies and experience in naïve pluripotent stem cells. Good communication skills in English is required.

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
