Description of the workplace
The research group is dedicated to translational research on prostate cancer to improve the outcomes for our patients. The research includes identification of molecular targets for development of new therapies in chemo- and hormone resistant prostate cancer, in vitro studies and animal models, and clinical studies on imaging biomarkers for prognosis, prediction and monitoring and clinical studies on robotic surgery. The group is further focused on the development and validation of biomarkers in tissue, blood and urine including circulating tumor cells and cell-free DNA and we are looking to expand our group with additional expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology. The successful applicant will be an integral part of developing the next generation of precision medicine tools for prostate cancer. The position will be based in Lund. More information about the research group can be found here.
