The division Computer Science at the department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering conducts research in software systems, distributed systems and databases, mobile networks, digital service innovation and IoT-based communication.

We are now looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will work within a multi-disciplinary research group that conducts research around the blockchain, cloud computing, edge computing and 5G.

The position as postdoctoral fellow belongs to the research subject Pervasive and Mobile Computing.

Subject description
Pervasive and mobile computing address distributed systems and mobile networks which enable mobility, ubiquity, security and interactivity of computers, data, software and users.

Project description
You will work in projects with a focus on the blockchain, cloud computing, edge computing and 5G with development of a modern edge platform and associated portfolio of edge-aware applications for various scenarios. The position involves academic work together with our industrial partners.

Duties
The main responsibilities as a postdoctoral fellow consist of conducting research and teaching in order to qualify for future employment in academia.

Qualifications
We are looking for a skilled, analytical, and motivated colleague who can carry out advanced research independently and in collaboration with the rest of the research group.

To be eligible, you must have a PhD degree in Pervasive and Mobile Computing, Computer, Science, or an equivalent field. A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline provides a useful qualification. Candidates who have been awarded a doctoral degree at an earlier date may also be considered if there are special grounds, for example, different types of statutory leave of absence. Applicants should be skilled in software development and applied computer science. It is advantageous if you have experience in blockchain and distributed systems in general.
