The MR physics research group (https://www.msf.lu.se/research/mr-physics-group), is active in the field of medical magnetic resonance, and has its primary focus on development of new techniques for assessment of functional information related to perfusion, diffusion, brain activation and flow.

Work assignments
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to work within the MR physics group on the development of prostate cancer diagnostics and treatment monitoring in both the clinical and pre-clinical environment. Emphasis is placed on the ability to work interdisciplinary (i.e., in collaboration with researchers, doctors and international partners) and independently (i.e., through self-initiative, structuring and planning of original research). The MR physics group has a large international collaborative network, which means that travel for planning and execution of various future collaborative projects will be encouraged. Teaching and supervision at the advanced and postgraduate level can be included depending on departmental needs.

  • Documented research in diffusion MRI
  • Documented research in super-resolution image reconstruction
  • Documented ability of pulse sequence programming (preference for Siemens and Bruker)
  • Experience with diffusion-relaxation-correlation MRI
  • Hands-on experience with clinical and pre-clinical MRI scanners
