Job description

The job is to support the research being done in the division of Robots, Perception, and Learning on underwater robotics. This is partly part of SMaRC . This will involve supervising students and managing the software repositories in the projects.  It is also expected that you would contribute to the research and code base yourself.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Robotics programming experience. 
  • Research expertise in related topics.
  • C++, Python, ROS, package management.
  • Experience with operating underwater robots.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree in the related topic, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Experience with the development of embedded robotics applications, simulators, continuous integration, and GUIs.
  • The ability to work towards research results being utilized in practice.
  • The ability to inform about research and development work.
  • Teaching abilities.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with a specific focus on gender equality.
  • Collaborative abilities.
  • Independence.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
