The Quantum Nano Photonics group at KTH is inviting applications for a research engineer position in the field of quantum photonics at the single photon level. You will work in an international team to develop quantum photonic devices and instruments operating at the single photon level. You will be involved in European and international projects and will collaborate with leading research groups. The work will include nanofabrication, optical measurements, optical instruments conception and data analysis.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Experience with optical measurements at cryogenic temperatures
  • Experience with single photon measurements
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • International experience.
  • Experience with supervision of students.
  • Experience with lab programming (Python or equivalent)
  • Experience with optical measurements at the single photon level.
  • Research expertise
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

About the employment
