The research group in Probability Theory, Mathema7cal Physics and Mathema7cal Sta7s7cs at the
Department of Mathema7cs in KTH is offering a three year post-doctoral posi7on. The posi7on will be mentored by Gaul7er Lambert and is financed by grants from the Swedish Research Council (VR) and the Swedish Founda7ons’ Star7ng Grant Fellows. The main duty is research within the fields of interest of our research group. We are looking for candidates with background in the fields of random matrix theory, Coulomb/Fermi gases and Gaussian mul7plica7ve chaos. Excellente candidates with other research interests in Probability Theory, Mathema7cal Physics and analysis are also strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

  • We seek a candidate with a strong background in analysis, probability theory and/or mathematical physics.
  • The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills.
  • No skills in Swedish are required.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
