We are currently looking for one Research Associates (Post Doc) within the area of Machine Learning and wireless communication networks. The Research Associate will be sponsored by the research project of the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) AICOM – We are currently looking for one Research Associates (Post Doc) within the area of Machine Learning and wireless communication networks. The Research Associate will be sponsored by the research project of the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) AICOM - Artificial Intelligence for Wireless Communications, and the research project of the Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Foundation (KAW) TAIRCOMP – Turning the Air into an AI Computer, two recent projects of the highest scientific quality, which involve leading Swedish universities and scholars.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Research expertise in machine learning and optimization theory, with application to wireless communication
  • Collaborative abilities allowing you to work as a part of the interdisciplinary research team
  • Independence allowing you to lead your original line of research
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with a specific focus on gender equality 

Preferred qualifications

  • Documented interest in applied mathematics research
  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Teaching abilities

About the employment

The position offered is for, at the most, two years. The second year is conditioned to a positive evaluation of the first year performance.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
