Job description

As a postdoc your primary goal is to progress toward becoming a fully independent researcher, both through own independent work and in collaboration with other researchers at the department. This position is tied to a joint project with AI Sweden (www.ai.se ) and will also involve active collaboration with one or more senior researchers working at AI Sweden.

The position is affiliated with the Division of Information Science and Engineering, at the School of EECS.

Qualifications

A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (with some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume). The candidate must have a strong background in the theoretical aspects of AI and machine learning.

The successful applicant should have outstanding academic record and potential. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills are a requirement. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who can work independently but also collaborates well with others. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results. Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality is meriting.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
