Master Thesis

Artificial Intelligence in Testing

We are looking for two students with an engineering background or equivalent with an emphasis on data science and a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence. It is advantageous if the students have a basic knowledge in one or several AI integrated tools. Skills in programming are also desirable.

The purpose of the thesis is to explore, compare, analyze, and report on different frameworks and/or tools for integrating AI into our Test Framework. The main objective is to test our Condition Monitoring products, systems, and solutions.

Important objectives of AI in testing are:

  • Save test development time.
  • Proof reading of test report to identify potential issues.
  • Present Test results in most intuitive form with in-depth traceability

As the tools are emerging, it is essential to provide a comparison and possibly with cost/benefit analysis for the reader to make a correct choice, for example Explore/compare different frameworks or tools for integrating AI into test methods.

Time frame

The thesis covers 20 weeks for Master and begins in September 2024.

(We are open for discussion on a 10-week Bachelor thesis)

This project will be performed at SKF in Luleå.
