Lecturer within Bioentrepreneurship

The Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) works in several strategic areas that are important for improving human health. The Unit for Bioentrepreneurship (UBE) conducts research on and education in innovation and entrepreneurship. A two-year global Master's programme in Bioentrepreneurship (MBE) is offered at the unit, together with programme elective and single-subject courses. UBE is the KI competence centre of the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship (an academic collaboration between KI, the Stockholm School of Economics, the Royal Institute of Technology, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm University, and the Royal College of Music), providing interdisciplinary education. UBE is also involved in externally funded educational projects. With the help of these courses and projects, the aim is to encourage students, researchers, and others to learn and apply the entrepreneurial method and approach.

We are looking for an ambitious and responsible team member. You have an open-minded attitude towards your work and work environment and a passion for education, entrepreneurship, and innovation, especially in the field of life science.

Qualified to be employed as a Lecturer is one who has demonstrated pedagogical proficiency and has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence in the relevant subject area. You will be working as a teacher in various courses at the Unit for bioentrepreneurship. You will also assist the programme director of the master’s programme with an evaluation project. As part of the unit faculty, you will contribute to several courses by delivering modules and supervising projects.

Your work will include;

• Planning of courses, including planning relevant learning activities and finding guest speakers
• Execution of courses, including teaching activities
• Supervising and coaching students working on individual projects
• Assessment and grading of assignments
• Evaluation, reporting and archiving of courses
• Educational programme evaluation and strategic development
• Taking an active part in the UBE faculty

Required qualifications (must be supported by documentation)

• Master’s degree in Business and Economics
• Experience teaching innovation and entrepreneurship with a focus on market analysis in the Life science context and scientific writing at the university level (in English)
• Experience in supervision, facilitation work and coaching
• Experience in developing and running courses on master’s and PhD level
• Experience in the evaluation and development of educational programmes
• Proficiency in Swedish and English (both speaking and writing)

• A solid network within the Life science industry, national and international

In connection with the appointment of Lecturers, we will accord special weight to teaching skills. Since this recruitment involves intense interaction with students, your skills such as good communication skills, structure and ability to collaborate, but also the ability to run projects and work independently under time pressures and with, in some cases, limited instructions will be important.
