The position is placed at the Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Environmental Studies at The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Umeå, Sweden. Duties:

Preparation of feather and tissue samples from Bean Geese for DNA analyses. The work needs to be conducted in the laboratory facilities of SLU’s department of Wildlife, Fish, and Environmental Studies in Umeå, and in close collaboration with the project leader and management of the department’s Molecular Ecology Lab.


Qualifications:

The applicant needs to have basic academic knowledge in genetics and wildlife ecology. Basic experience of biological laboratory work is also mandatory. Collaboration skills and accuracy are vital.

Form of employment:

Hourly paid fixed-term employment. This means that you will be offered work on occasional short-term occasions until the 31st of December 2023.

These are fixed-term contracts under 5§ of the Employment Protection Act. Being available in this way means that you can accept or reject each job you are offered and that a new employment relationship begins at that time. A job offer can last from a few hours to several weeks.
