Doctoral student in communication networks and machine learning

Updated: 12 months ago
Deadline: 31 Mar 2023

Project description

Emerging communication networks, like 6G or software defined networks will have to support large scale machine learning applications, while at the same time their own operation can be controlled through machine learning solutions. This can bring us to a completely new era of networking, with exciting topics in the joint design of communication and learning.

Our group at KTH already contributes to this area, focusing on wireless network design for distributed learning. In our research we combine areas of stochastic modelling, algorithm design, machine learning and network protocol design from physical to application layers.

The doctoral student accepted for this position will work in the same area, with a specific focus on machine learning over distributed network infrastructures. The position is coupled to our projects on monitoring large scale critical infrastructures and cyber infrastructures.

Third-cycle subject: Computer Science

Supervision: Prof. Viktoria Fodor
