Assessment criteria for applicants with the required qualifications
In the selection of eligible applicants, weight will be assigned to research expertise, teaching expertise, and administrative and management expertise. However, particular weight will be assigned to research and teaching expertise.

Research expertise refers to research qualifications. In assessing research expertise, research quality will be the primary consideration. The scope of the research, in particular its depth and breadth, will also be taken into account. When assessing research expertise, particular attention will be paid to research qualifications in the subject area of the position, i.e. digital humanities.

Previous documented experience in multidisciplinary humanities research in the field of digital humanities as well as in the ABM disciplines, i.e. archival studies, information studies and museum- and cultural heritage studies, is also considered an asset. Furthermore, consideration will be given to the capacity to plan, initiate, lead and develop research and education at the doctoral level, and the ability to acquire funding for research in competition. A demonstrated ability to interact both within academia and with the wider community is also judged to be important.

Teaching expertise refers to educational and teaching qualifications. In addition to academic qualifications, education and teaching qualifications from other activities, including e.g. supervision, in-service training or mentoring programmes, may be taken into consideration. In assessing teaching expertise, teaching quality must be the prime consideration. The scope of teaching experience, in terms of both breadth and depth, shall also be afforded consideration. In assessing teaching expertise, particular attention will be paid to the ability to teach using current digital methods and tools. Documented experience in digital methodology and tool development is an asset, as is the ability to assimilate knowledge of new digital methods and tools. Documented experience in teaching in the ABM disciplines, i.e. archival studies, information studies and museum- and cultural heritage studies, is also considered an asset. In addition, documented experience in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teaching is an asset.

Furthermore, consideration will be given to the capacity to plan, initiate, lead and develop education and teaching, as well as the ability to base teaching on research in the subject concerned, subject didactics, and teaching and learning in higher education. The ability to interact with actors inside and outside the University in relation to issues of teaching and learning in higher education is also included in teaching expertise.

Administrative, management and collaborative expertise are also significant to the position and will be assigned weight.

Administrative expertise is demonstrated through, for example, the capacity to plan, organise and prioritise work in a suitable and effective manner, as well as the ability to specify and adhere to time frames. This form of expertise includes overall work planning; ability to manage resources in a way that reflects operational priorities; and ability to work in a structured manner and on the basis of an awareness of goals and quality. Administrative expertise also includes entrepreneurship.

Collaborative expertise is demonstrated through the ability and skill to plan, organise and implement collaboration with the wider community. Popular scientific work, public debate and lectures are examples of forms of collaboration with the wider community. The ability to translate the exchange of knowledge with the wider community into activities relevant to the development and quality of education is also part of collaborative expertise.

All qualifications must be documented to enable assessment of both quality and scope.
