Description of the workplace

Chemical Biology & Therapies is a multidisciplinary laboratory—materials/medicinal chemistry, in-vivo/in vitro biology, and applied physics—at Lund University and Gothenburg University that researches new therapeutic strategies. The lab has recently been awarded funding to study electronic therapies in a neuropharma project (e-NeuroPharma). In the e-Neuropharma project, we develop in-vivo self-organizing bioelectronic molecular systems as therapies against neurodegenerative diseases. e-Neuropharma is a collaboration with the bioelectronics group at Linköping University, Karolinska Institutet and Chalmers University of Technology.

Job duties

Synthesis of self-organizing conductive polymers and molecules to be used in molecular
electronics.

Qualifications

Requirements
• PhD in organic chemistry
• Many years of practical experience in the synthesis and analysis of small molecules
• Practical experience of heterocyclic chemistry and C-C cross-couplings

Meritorious
• Experience in electrochemical analysis such as cyclic voltammetry, polymer chemistry and computational chemistry

The position is located at Lund University, but the work is performed at Lund University or in Gothenburg University's premises as agreed. Access 2024-05-01 or by agreement.
