Offer Description

Description of the workplace
The research group of Oskar Hansson at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University, now seek an assistant researcher for neuroimaging multimodal biomarker analyses in Alzheimer’s disease.

Our research is focused on defining and understanding biological processes in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. We work both with cohorts of patients and cognitively unimpaired volunteers, who undergo extensive testing with neuroimaging, biomarker measurements and neuropsychological testing, and with proteomics. The assistant researcher will join a growing multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists and clinical researchers, who are dedicated to increasing the knowledge about neurodegenerative diseases. The long-term goal of our research is to contribute to the development of new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases where effective treatments are still lacking. You can read more about the research here.

We care about creating a positive, respectful, and stimulating environment. We value communication and collaboration and a workplace that promotes learning and development for all employees. We are also committed to building a safe and positive environment for all employees through mutual respect and tolerance.

Priority will be given to applicants who have a multimodal expertise. The assistant researcher will be responsible for integrating biomarkers to improve our molecular understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative diseases and advance diagnostic and prognostic algorithms. Ability to supervise/co-supervise students will be considered as an asset.
