IDIBELL is looking for Technician for the Legal Services Unit 

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine. Research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.

IDIBELL is located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, south of Barcelona. It is a member of the Campus of International Excellence of the University of Barcelona (HUBc) and Research Centers of Catalonia (CERCA). In 2009, it became one of the first five Spanish research centers accredited as a health research institute by the Health Institute Carlos III. In 2015, the European Commission recognized IDIBELL with the ‘HR Excellence in Research’  award, which identifies IDIBELL as a provider and supporter of a stimulating research work environment.

About the Unit

The IDIBELL Legal Services Unit provides comprehensive support on legal issues in research-related matters to scientists, partners (ICO Hospitalet, HUB, HV and CSI) and the rest of IDIBELL’s management staff.

About the role

The role is mainly:

  • Negotiation of contractual clauses in the framework of research projects.
  • Control and introduction of data referring to all the Studies (mostly Clinical studies) that are carried out within the framework of IDIBELL.
  • Support in the preparation and monitoring of financial budgets related to Clinical Studies.
  • Monitoring and introduction of the necessary documentation for the correct operation of the Legal Unit.
  • Supervision of documentation to ensure maximum coverage in legal terms.
  • Attention to researchers and monitoring of their needs in the framework of a research project.
  • Care for companies (especially the pharmaceutical industry) and hospitals in everything related to clinical studies.

Job requirements

Professional experience

Education and training

  • Degree / Degree in Law, Management and Public Administration or other Degree studies with a high content of legal subjects.

Technical skills

  • Excellent ability of oral and written expression
  • MS Office; Excel i Word.

Languages

  • Good command of the English language

We will value, but not required

  • Experience or training in the field of commercial and / or civil law.
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts.

  • Estimated annual gross salary: salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay ranges

Selection process
