THE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MÁLAGA NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: HIGHER FP IT Technician to collaborate on the project:  

Principal researcher: Juan Ángel Bellón Saameño

Research group: C-02. MENTAL HEALTH, SERVICES AND PRIMARY CARE (SAMSERP).

Venue: IBIMA / Civil Hospital, Pavilion 5. 2nd Floor

Project: RD21/0016/0012 RESEARCH NETWORK ON CHRONICITY, PRIMARY CARE AND HEALTH PROMOTION (RICAPPS).

Financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Carlos III Health Institute and by the European Funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Functions to be developed :

• Technical support:
  • Provide technical assistance to end users.
  • Resolve hardware and software problems.
  • Diagnose and solve network problems.
• System Administration:
  • Configure, manage and maintain operating systems.
  • Perform data backups and restores.
• Software development:
  • Program and develop software according to requirements.
  • Maintain and update existing applications (apps).
  • Collaborate in the design of computer solutions together with subcontracted ICT companies in the respective research projects of the SAMSERAP research group.
• Communication & Networking:
  • Configure and manage local networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
  • Diagnose and solve connectivity problems.
• Project management:
  • Collaborate in the planning and execution of IT projects.
  • Coordinate activities between different teams.
• Hardware Maintenance:
  • Diagnose and repair computer hardware.
  • Install and update hardware components.
• Web Design and Development:
  • Create and maintain websites.
  • Develop web applications.

Minimum requirements :

The required qualification, Higher Technician in Computer Science (Equivalent to Higher Technician in Vocational Training) will be requested in accordance with the Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education (MECES).

Valuable Requirements :

• Accredited experience as a Computer Technician: (0.5 points for each month of experience). Maximum 4 points.

• Training related to the position (competence in the use of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.); knowledge of relevant programming languages ​​(e.g. Java, Python, C++); familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies (bases of data, frameworks, etc.); knowledge of graphic design: 0.5 points per course up to a maximum of 1 point

• Participation in research projects: 0.5 points for each project. Maximum 1 point

• Portfolio or Work Examples: previous projects or previous work examples: 0.5 points per project, up to a maximum of 1 point

The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by means of a certificate from a competent body or a responsible declaration.

Contract details :

• Location: Civil Hospital Pavilion 5. 2nd Floor
• Contract modality: fixed-term contract linked to programs financed with the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (fifth additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021)
• Category: Higher vocational training technician
• Estimated duration: scheduled until 12/31/2024. The contract is linked to the duration of the project / activity / financing.
• Gross annual remuneration: €19,045.76
• Schedule: Full time (35h)

Selection process :

-Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.

-After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate renounces the contract, the hiring table may decide to decide in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
