THE ANDALUSIAN PUBLIC FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH OF MALAGA IN BIOMEDICINE AND HEALTH (FIMABIS) NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: SENIOR RESEARCHER .

Project/research line:  CAPTURE

Principal Investigator: BERNARDO HERRERA IMBRODA (IBIMA/IBIMA GROUP B-11 (CO IP: DAVID OLMOS HIDALGO AND ELENA CASTRO- 12 DE OCTOBER FOUNDATION, PROSTATE CANCER GENOMICS AND THERAPEUTICS GROUP.

Place of performance: The functions may be carried out in the two locations where the group's activities are carried out, mainly in FUNDACIÓN 12 DE OCTUBRE (MADRID) but also in IBIMA (MÁLAGA) according to the profile, and availability of the selected candidate or the needs of the cluster.

Functions to be developed :

• Provide support to the principal investigators, senior researchers and postdoctoral researchers of the IBIMA B-11 group in the following tasks:
• Microscopic review of tumor and non-tumor samples from patients included in the B-11 group projects, including CAPTURE.
• Assessment of optimal areas for molecular studies, as well as for the preparation of tissue matrices.
• Assessment of results and studies using immunohistochemistry techniques in tissue sections or tissue matrices.
• Collaborate on tasks similar to the previous ones as part of cooperative projects with other groups or researchers.

Minimum Requirements: They will be accredited through certification by a competent Body or Responsible Declaration.

• Bachelor of Medicine.
• Qualification as a doctor specializing in pathological anatomy.

Valuable Requirements :

Note: the valuable merits must be accredited in the CV through completion of specific training, technical experience through participation in projects and publications with a specific description of the tasks carried out by the candidate. They will be accredited through certification by a competent body or Responsible Declaration.

Knowledge and practical experience in (up to 7 points) will also be considered:

Accredited experience as a specialist in pathological anatomy. It will be valued from 0-2 points (4 years of MIR training 0.5 points, Post-specialty work experience for each additional year 0.2 points up to a maximum of 2 points).

 Accredited experience in uro-pathology. Years post-specialization via MIR of dedication to pathology It will be valued from 0-1.5 points. (0.3 per 4-year mIR training, 0.2 points per full year of experience).

Training courses in uro-pathology. It will be valued at 0-0.5 points (0.1 points for every 10 credited teaching hours).

Training in next generation sequencing techniques and molecular pathology. It will be valued at 0-0.5 points (0.1 points for every 10 credited teaching hours).

Training in management and handling of sample collections and/or biobanks. It will be valued at 0-0.5 points (0.1 points for every 10 credited teaching hours).

Scientific publications in peer-indexed journals. It will be valued from 0-2 points. (0.25 per first decile journal, 0.15 per first quartile journal, 0.08 second quartile journal, 0.04 per 3rd quartile journal or lower. Double score if first author, senior or corresponding author)

It will also be taken into account:

• High level of English, both spoken and written.
• Availability to travel.

– Contract details :

• Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011).
• Location: OCTOBER 12/ IBIMA GROUP B-11 (Translational Research Group in Genitourinary Oncology).
• Gross annual remuneration (17.5 hours per week): €15,611 Fixed + €2,341.65 Variable
• Time: Partial 50% (17.5 hours per week).
• Duration: 12 months renewable. The contract is linked to the duration of the project/activity/financing.
• Category: Senior Researcher.

Selection process :

• Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.
• After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate resigns from the contract, the hiring table may decide to resolve in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
