The BETA Technological Center is made up of a young multidisciplinary team of 60 researchers and is willing to incorporate a dynamic person who wants to be part of this project. We are looking for a senior researcher who is an expert in environmental technologies for the treatment and valorisation of waste.
The selected candidate will work actively in the technical execution of several national and international projects in the centre's line of environmental technologies. Mainly, the chosen person is expected to be involved in technology transfer projects with companies, as well as in the European project H2020 ACCELWATER (Grant Agreement No. 958266), where he/she will work with the evaluation of several environmental technologies (anaerobic digestion, membrane processes, biological processes, etc.) for the production of value-added products from waste from the agri-food sector and other industries.
MAIN TASKS:
- Design and optimization of bioreactors and other environmental technologies.
- Development and operation of pilot plants for the treatment and valorisation of waste.
- Monitoring the performance of pilot plants both on a laboratory scale and on a pilot scale in a real environment.
- Technical management of private R&D contracts with companies and competitive research projects.
- Main contact with customers.
- Analysis and treatment of results.
- Preparation of technical reports and scientific articles.
- Participation in proposals writing for attracting new funding.
- He/she will be in charge of other junior researchers and PhD students.
