SENIOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a nonprofit research institute based in Barcelona and dedicated to advancing our understanding about leukaemia and related disorders, in partnership with the University of Barcelona and University Autònoma of Barcelona. The IJC has laboratories in three clinical campuses: i) Clinic Hospital, ii) Sant Pau Hospital and iii) Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital. IJC serves as a collaborative hub for basic investigators and physicians to work together on fundamental biological and clinical aspects of leukaemia. Position Description

The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC), is seeking for a motivated SENIOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER for Josep Mª Ribera’s Group, the Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda (LLA) group. The research of the group is focused on Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) disease, including B-cell precursor and T-precursor ALL. They want to resolve questions that require a full range of research from basic to clinical. The group aim to provide the physician with new tools, by using basic research data that will have an impact on healthcare, in order to improve survival rates in patients with this type of leukemia.

The senior postdoctoral researcher Will be at charge of the T-ALL research line at the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute. The research will be focused on the identification of copy number alterations as targets for available drugs involved in T-ALL leukemogenesis and prognosis.
