Offer Description

We are seeking to recruit a Researcher for the AI and Data for Society project (AID4So) for the Studies of Information Sciences and Documentation of the University.

Goal:

The AI and Data for Society (AID4So) research group focuses on both, the development of new methods in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and Big Data Analytics, as well as in their application to solve research questions in the field of Data Science, Computational Social Science and Digital Humanities. The group puts the human in the centre of its research effort and gives particular attention on the study and usage of ethical, sustainable and explainable methods in AI and Machine learning.

Functions:

Be part of the Project Coordinator team that includes the Project Coordinator and the Financial Director

Project management tasks

Be one of the first members of a new research group and help growing it.

Perform ground-braking research in one or more of the groups research lines (AI, machine learning, Data Analytics)

Participate in the elaboration of research proposals and grants.

Specific Requirements

PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field

State of the art knowledge of NLP, Large Language Models and Machine learning algorithms

Good writing skills

Working proficiency in English

Advanced coding skills in Python, Data science, NLP, Deep learning and machine learning libraries in python

Interest and experience in collaborating with researchers form the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities
