THE INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH OF MALAGA AND NANOMEDICINE PLATFORM NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: RESEARCHER IN TRAINING

Coordinating Researcher: Francisco J. Tinahones Madueño.

Principal Investigator: Melissa García Caballero.

Venue: IBIMA BIONAND Platform.

Research Group : BE18 Vascular Biology, Tumor Microenvironment & Target Discovery.

Project/Research Line: Grant FORT23/00013 funded by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII). Strengthens Program of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Functions to be developed  :

• Active research participating in the group's lines of research, collaborating in experimental designs, planning experiments and carrying out different techniques with the supervision of the PI.
• Data collection and contribution to the analysis and interpretation of results using statistical tools and specialized analysis.
• Writing reports, summaries and scientific articles for the presentation and publication of results.
• Attendance at conferences and scientific meetings to share findings and establish collaborations with other scientists.

Minimum requirements :

• Graduate or Graduate with a Degree ≥ 300 ECTS assigned to Level 3 (Master) or Graduate with a Master's Degree (≥ 300 ECTS) or equivalent in Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Health Sciences).

Valuable Requirements :

• Academic record and training. Having obtained a degree in recent years will be positively valued (up to 2 points).
• Verifiable previous experience in animal cell culture techniques, molecular techniques (involving the domain of Western-Blot, RT-PCR, qPCR), confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and bioinformatics analysis (up to 2 points).
• Animal experimentation certificate and previous experience in handling laboratory animals (1 point).
• Work experience in research (participation in projects, conferences and co-authorship in scientific articles) (up to 2 points).

The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by: Qualification by virtue of which you apply for this offer, or personal academic certification that shows the studies completed, academic record, curriculum vitae and documentary accreditation of the curricular merits provided (certificate of work life, certificates participation in projects, publications, conference certificates...).

Contract details :

• Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011).
• Category: Master.
• Location: IBIMA BIONAND Platform.
• Gross annual remuneration: €27,626
• Time: Full time (35 hours per week).
• Estimated duration: 48 months – The contract is linked to the duration of the project / activity / financing.

Selection process :

• Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. . Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.
• After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate resigns from the contract, the hiring table may decide to decide in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
