THE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MÁLAGA NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: RESEARCHER IN THE AREA OF CLINICAL TRIALS.
Research line: Clinical-translational research in breast, prostate, gynecological, digestive and germ cell cancers

Research group : CIMO-02. TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH IN CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY.
Venue : REGIONAL AND VIRGEN DE LA VICTORIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS
Functions to be developed :
- Procedures for including patients in the different Clinical Trials of the Unit (selecting candidate patients, explaining informed consent to patients, requesting tests, checking compliance with the inclusion/exclusion criteria...).
- Know in depth the properties of the investigational medication.
- Collect, record and report data correctly and guarantee its veracity.
- Immediately report serious or unexpected adverse events to the Trial Sponsor.
- Assist the SPONSOR in the resolution of any conflict, in eventual audits, regulatory inspections and monitoring visits.
- Visit patients as required by the different trials, perform physical examinations, collect AEs, collect concomitant medication, interpret tests.
- Assist the monitors during the monitoring visits (resolving doubts, conducting trainings, signing documentation, commenting on the progress of the trial).
- Ensure compliance with the Protocol, the Standards of Good Clinical Practice and current legislation.
- Know the Protocols of the different Clinical Trials carried out in the Medical Oncology Service, know the testing schedule of each trial and the procedures required by each of them.
- Manage the test schedule of the assigned protocols, especially pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, genomics, radiological and control when each patient is scheduled to schedule extractions.
- Dispensing and education in taking oral and intravenous study medication.
- In the area of translational research in breast cancer:
- Recruitment of patients in translational projects based on liquid biopsy.
- Design and supervision of studies for the detection of different tumor components in blood circulation, such as DNA and RNA, and their use to predict and detect relapses early, as well as to monitor resistance to treatments.
- Experience in the application of massive sequencing and digital PCR technologies in translational projects.
Minimum requirements :
Minimum qualification required: Physician Specialist in Medical Oncology
It will be valued:
- Demonstrable experience as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in Medical Oncology trials. (0.5 point per contract as principal investigator and 0.25 per contract as sub-investigator - maximum 1.5 points)
- Previous experience in evaluating radiological tests using Recist 1.1 criteria. (maximum 0.5 points) (0.1 per year of experience)
- High level of English, both spoken and written. (b2 or c1 ,0.5 points)
- Experience in the management and inclusion of patients in Clinical Trials. (0.25 points per year of experience – maximum 0.5)
- Demonstrable experience in managing the Galen Information System. (maximum 0.5 point, 0.25 per year)
- Demonstrable healthcare experience in the management of breast and/or gynecological cancer (0.5 points per year, maximum 1.5 points).
- Demonstrable experience in translational projects based on liquid biopsy and cancer, including the design of new studies, as well as the use of both massive sequencing technologies and digital PCR (2 points).
The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by means of a certificate from a competent body or a responsible declaration.
Contract details :
- Day: Partial (50%) (17.5h)
- Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011)
- Location: IBIMA REGIONAL AND VIRGEN DE LA VICTORIA UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS
- Gross annual remuneration: €25,000

Selection process :
-Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.
-After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate renounces the contract, the hiring table may decide to decide in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
