CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB

• Location: ICRA – Catalan Water Research Institute, Girona (Spain)
• Number of positions available: 1
• Scheduled start: 07/01/2024
• Temporary Position. The position is for 3 months
• Annual Gross Salary: €20,000

OFFER DESCRIPTION

 Research Technician to support in the project EMFASIS, funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and the European Union’s “NextGenerationEU” programme. Project code: TED2021-131005B-C33; MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR. In particular, the person recruited will collaborate in the study of emerging contaminants in the subsurface, devoted to 1) support in laboratory tasks, 2) interpret adsorption & degradation data, and 3) fit isotherms and other function related to reactive transport modelling using R-Studio packages. Moreover, conduct a reference review, built databases and conduct statistical analysis of the field and other data.

Hydrology and fluvial ecology

Qualifications and Education Level:

Degree in Environmental Sciences, or Civil Engineering

Skills:

Laboratory work in geochemical variables (20%), use of statistical software (50%), statistical analysis capability (20%), communicative and writing skills (10%)

Required Languages:

Spanish, Catalan, English at a basic level: reading and scientific comprehension

Required Experience:

The level of the afore mentioned skills will be assessed according to CV and professional/academic experience.
