OFFER DESCRIPTION
Research technician to support the study of climate change and its hydrological and ecological effects in the Onyar basin, in the context of an internal project of the RiE area, at ICRA. The project includes hydrological, hydrogeological, hydrochemical and aquatic organism data in the fluvial area.In this phase of the project, the tasks are oriented towards the modeling with SWAT+ of hydrological phenomena and the effects of climate change assuming various assumptions/scenarios. The results are expected to provide criteria for hydrological management with the intention of maintaining the good quantitative and qualitative status of the river network, which may involve different exploitation strategies for the associated aquifer. The candidate will provide support in the fieldwork and, basically, his work will focus on the aforementioned modeling processes and state processing data. This contract is part of Retos20_RIVSTRESS Project (Project Code PID2020-115708RB-C22/MCIN/AEI / 10.13039/501100011033).
KEY DUTIES
1.Support tasks in field sampling and data processing. 2. Laboratory analysis of different fluvial ecology techniques3. Modeling using the SWAT+ code of hydrological dynamics and nutrient transport in the Onyar river basin.

Master level in ecology and/or hydrology
Skills:
Field and laboratory work in hydrological and ecological variables, use of statistical software, modeling with SWAT+. Knowledge in relation to climate change
Required Languages:
English, Catalan, Spanish
Required Experience:
The level of the aforementioned skills will be assessed according to CV and professional/academic experience.
