The Neuroscience Department of the Biodonostia Health Research Institute is offering a position for an assistant research technician that is interested in joining the “RNA Processing and Therapeutics” laboratory (https://www.rnatherapeuticslab.info ). The group is led by Dr. Lorea Blazquez (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2885-3286 ), Ramón y Cajal researcher and Ikerbasque Fellow, from the Institute’s Neuroscience Department, and is focused on studying RNA processing in neurological disease models to identify new biomarkers and develop advanced gene therapies based on the use of RNA molecules and CRISPR-Cas systems.
One position for an assistant research technician is being offered. Roles and responsibilities
- Management and organization of laboratory projects.
- Molecular biology techniques: extraction of DNA, RNA and proteins, PCR, qRT-PCR.
- Cellular biology techniques: permanently established cell cultures, transfection/transduction of viral vectors for use in gene therapy, etc.
