Research line / Scientific-technical services: Crew Training and advanced HMI with Agents / Assistants use cases

This contract is called under the EDINAF project in which the Universidade da Coruña participates. The purpose of this contract is collaboration in the research activities carried out within EDINAF in WP 15.

The requirements that the hired person must meet are described below.

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED, REQUIREMENTS AND ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

The main tasks of the hired person will be related to the following areas:

1) Analysis and design of virtual simulation environments for learning and training in the WP15 package.

2) Study of implementation of Smart Agents in simulation environments for training.

3) Work on the development of examples on game engines.

Specific Requirements

1. Every applicant must comply with the following requirements within the application submission period and maintain them during the term of the contract:

a) Have Spanish nationality or any other nationality to which State regulations attribute equal rights for employment purposes in the Public Administration.

b) Have the required qualifications and meet the other requirements indicated in the call.

c) Have turned sixteen years of age and have not exceeded, where applicable, the maximum age for forced retirement.

d) Possess the functional capacity necessary to perform the corresponding functions or tasks described in the report.

e) Not having been separated through disciplinary proceedings from the service of any Public Administration or the constitutional or statutory bodies of the Autonomous Communities, nor being in a situation of absolute or special disqualification for employment or public office by court order, to access body or level of public official or to perform functions analogous to those performed, in which said person has been separated or disqualified. In the case of being a national of another State, it will be required that the applicant is not disqualified or in an equivalent situation, nor has he or she been subject to a disciplinary sanction or equivalent that prevents, in his or her State, under the same terms, access to public employment.

2. The hiring of foreigners from non-EU countries, which will be formalized for the sole purpose of carrying out research or technical tasks, will require the presentation, at the time of signing the contract, of the residence and work authorization as an employee or accreditation of the concurrence of the cause of exception of said authorization, in accordance with Organic Law 4/2000, of January 11, on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain, and their social integration and applicable regulatory provisions.

Evaluation criteria

Having completed a degree/master's degree/software courses related to the design and development of simulation, video games, and 3D environments will be positively valued. Likewise, previous experience in the following points will be positively valued:

- Development on game engines. Unreal Engine / Unity / others. - Creation and work with 3D models for real time.

- Character development and applied Artificial Intelligence.

Only merits related to the profile of the call will be valued.

The merits claimed by the participants will have to be documented and fulfilled by the end of the application submission period. The call will be vacated if no candidate reaches a minimum of 20 points in the total resulting from adding the score obtained after evaluating criteria A, B, C and D:

A. Qualification required. The average grade of the degree required to qualify for the position will be evaluated: maximum 20 points, weighted by multiplying by your average grade. If the degree provided belongs to the field of video game development, or computer engineering, it will be fully valued. If it belongs to any other field, it will be valued with 5% of the qualification obtained according to its average grade.

B. Additional specific training related to the profile for which it is presented. Maximum 10 points. Master's degrees, courses, training activities, credits passed in other degrees, etc. related to the position profile will be evaluated: 1 point per 100 hours, up to 10 points.

C. Knowledge of English: level C1 or higher will be scored with 5 points.

D. Specific experience (previous positions, R&D projects, etc.) related to the specific profile for which the applicant is applying: maximum 15 points.

a. Previous experience in mixed research units formed by companies and research organizations: 1 point per year worked, up to a maximum of 5 points.

b. Experience in previous positions related to the subject of the contract: 1 point per year worked, up to a maximum of 10 points.

E. Personal interview (maximum 12 points): the suitability of the curriculum vitae to the job position will be assessed. The candidates with the highest score in the previous items who have obtained, at least, 20 points will be interviewed (only the first three candidates).

Failure to appear at the interview will be cause for exclusion of the summoned candidate.

Candidates will be called for the interview at least 48 hours in advance.

 Candidates will indicate in the curriculum vitae the tasks performed in each of the jobs.

 Any merit not duly justified will not be considered and, if necessary, additional supporting documentation may be requested from candidates.
