Position Summary:

Orikine Bio is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our R&D Team to develop engineered cytokines for the treatment of human diseases. The position will require resourcefulness and adaptability. The candidate will be responsible for the execution of projects, including novel assay development and in vitro proof-of concept. We are searching for enthusiastic individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply immunological laboratory techniques to research projects.
  • Design and perform experiments with careful attention to detail and accurately record procedures.
  • Generate, analyze and present data to supervisor and/or group members and make intellectual and technical contributions to the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong experimental skills: especially assay development, primary cells and cell lines and molecular biology including, ELISAS, flow cytometry, target validation and protein analytics. Immune cell phenotyping.
  • Highly adaptable and responsive to technical opportunities and needs – comfortable delivering against challenging commitments.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Confident, execution focused, team oriented, with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, etc.). PhD is desirable.
  • 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in drug discovery and/or in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings not essential but would be considered a bonus.
