The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics has been granted with the Severo Ochoa excellence award (CEX2019-000915-S), funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI). The Seed grants are one of the initiatives of the Barcelona GSE Severo Ochoa Program, to support the development of our researchers, in particular the junior researchers among the Barcelona GSE Affiliated Professors.
Dr.Luis E. Rojas, as an affiliated professor of the Barcelona GSE, is looking for a Research Assistant for the Seed Grant entitled “Strategic Business Accounting”
The research assistant will work with firm level data on financial statements and Mergers and Acquisitions. Most of the work will be directed to assist in the construction and analysis of a firm-level database for the US and Europe focused on intangible capital.
The work will be carried out with various statistical software (Stata, R) and also possibly (Matlab, Python).
An Economics PhD student with experience working with large databases is the ideal candidate. Applicants with a master’s degree in economics will also be considered.
A Spanish working permit is highly desirable.
