Offer Description

We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant for three projects that are carried out within the Communication Networks & Social Change (CNSC) research group of the University's IN3: DISSIMILAR, DEMOC2023 and SGR-Cat-2021, who will contribute to the tasks of group research.

Functions:

-Contribution to CNSC group projects and publications

-Detection of subsidies and calls for funding and preparation of calendar

-Contribute to the writing and presentation of competitive projects and the preparation of research reports and reports

-Collection of data and elaboration of BBDD

-Data analysis, use of statistical techniques and packages such as R, STATA

-Elaboration of questionnaires for surveys

-Conducting in-depth interviews, participant observation and other qualitative methodology activities

- Contribution to research articles in English

-Organization of presentations and conferences

- Maintenance, updating and creation of content for websites and Twitter

-Zotero and Mendeley bibliographic management

Master Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

Master's or Doctorate in Sociology, Political Science, Political Communication, Economics, Philosophy or other areas of the social sciences.

Master's or Doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, Social Computing Science, which are related to social and political aspects.

With a Doctorate or not and a Master's degree and research experience (more than 5 years)

Quantitative and qualitative social research techniques

Bibliographic management

Good level of Catalan, Spanish and English

Office software: Excel, Word, PPT...

Wordpress and social networks

Experience in scientific writing and reports

Know how to make presentations in public

Having collaborated with research groups on projects and publications

Knowledge of social media analytics (Gephi, Phyton, etc.)
