g2-Zero  is  a  quantum  technology  company  based in Madrid (Spain).

We are developing semiconductor based single photon sources which are purely electrical,  vibration-resistant  and  alignment-free.  The
company's  mission  is  to  bring  true  plug&play  single  photon sources  to  the  quantum  communication,  computing  and
sensing markets.
 
We are expanding our fabrication team looking for:
 
•  1 junior level (MSc/MEng 0-3 years work experience) professional
•  1 specialist level (PhD/MSc/MEng 3-5 years work experience)
professional
 
to work on clean room processing of compound semiconductor/photonic devices. 

The ideal candidate should be an independent, resourceful and goal oriented professional. He or She should have a strong motivation to join a technology
related startup industry in a technically demanding and rapidly evolving business environment.
 
To carry on with this development our company has been awarded a grant within the prestigious NATO-Defense and Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic
(DIANA) Programme . DIANA provides deep tech and dual-use innovators with access to NATO resources including grant funding, acceleration services, and
pathways to adapt their solutions for defence and security needs. g2-Zero has also the support of VC capital funds, the Spanish Ministry of Industry and has signed
collaboration contracts with hosting institutions to use their clean rooms at IMN-CSIC and ISOM-Universidad Politécnica de Madrid .

As part of the fabrication team at g2-Zero and under the supervision of the fabrication CTO your responsabilities will be:

•  Apply, improve and develop device processing recipes on GaAs/AlGaAs semiconductor compounds.
• Use microfabrication tools such us UV lithography (both mask and mask-less), EBL lithography, PECVD, wet and dry ICP-RIE etching, FIB and characterization tools such us SEM and AFM.
• Mask design with python scripted K-Layout environment.
• Report periodically to the board of directors creating and delivering compelling presentations about your activities.

Skills/Qualifications

-  PhD/MSci/MEng degree in any relevant field.
-  Legally authorized to work in Spain or in other EU country.

-  Proven previous work experience in clean room processing for the specialist
position.
-  The junior level position might pursue an Industrial PhD at UPM.
-  Strong technical competence on a lab environment.
-  Ability to work independently and to actively learn new skills.
