The Department of Information and Communication Technologies is looking for a junior researcher in 3D facial geometry with particular interest in newborn faces, within a project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Innovation and Science. The successful candidate should hold a degree in Mathematics or demonstrate a strong mathematical background, which should be complemented with background (or provable experience) in 3D processing, facial analysis and deep learning.
The job is focused on development and research in algorithms for the analysis of the facial geometry of babies, especially newborns. The main goal of this researcher post will be to develop techniques to enable 3D analysis from 2D input data, .i.e. 3D-2D fitting.e.g. 3D reconstruction from 2D images.
