Project Researcher (Ref MGMT 2021-22)

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a project researcher.

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). ICIQ is looking for a researcher with a PhD in Chemistry, with experience in ligand and organometallic synthesis, water electrolysis, knowledge in techniques for catalyst deposition onto electrodes.

Responsibilities

• Synthesis and scale up of the propietary catalysts (ligands and organometallic catalysts) suitable as water oxidation catalysts.
• Deposition of the catalysts onto the electrodes, and scale up of the deposition.
• Test the catalysts in electrolyzer and sensors.
